In 2005, I discovered Co-Active Coaching, through the Coaches Training Institute (CTI), and there found the perfect marriage of my love of language and passion for supporting others to flourish to their full potential. I completed my training as a Co-Active™ Coach with CTI, in 2008, through their International Coach Federation (ICF) accredited training program. The ICF is the leading body that sets quality and ethical standards in the field of coaching. I am also a graduate of CTI’s 10-month Co-Active™ Leadership Programme, which further deepened my skills as a coach and entrepreneur.
Prior to discovering coaching I worked in the personal growth and development sector as a Integrated Breath Therapist and Reiki Healer during which time I worked with over 500 people either one on one, or in support groups or seminars. I have also designed and presented a range of seminars and workshops which covered subjects and themes such as meditation, the inner child, soul connection and relationship communication skills.
From 2000 to the present day I’ve also worked as a writer and consultant to businesses big and small, invariably offering personal insight and counsel over and beyond the writing brief I had been presented with. I’ve written for The Times, and Observer newspaper, The Ecologist magazine, produced BBC Radio Documentaries, co-authored Working Ethically, praise by Management Today magazine as best of its kind; self published a children’s book which has been praised by the Dalai Lama, and helped numerous professionals and organisations through my Visionary Brilliance consultancy to better communicate their passion and purpose.
I have a BA Hons in Journalism, and MA in Radio and TV Scriptwriting.
The profile you probably didn’t expect to find.
I’m deeply passionate about world peace and endlessly enthusiastic that everyone can make a difference, but sometimes I find myself disappointed when it doesn’t happen fast enough.
I’ve been married and divorced within a year, which in hindsight was a mistake I was happy to make because it gave me the courage to accept that others don’t always want the same thing as me. Today, I still value the institution of marriage, but find myself blissfully unmarried in a relationship with my best friend and love of my life, with whom I have two incredible children.
I’ve been involved in enough spiritual groups, all with their own unique vision of world peace, long enough to know the difference between zealotry and genuine enthusiasm for a better world. Today, I’m group and groupie free, and passionate about my connection to God, as I see Him, Her, or It, and likely to find the divine revealed in everyday life and sporting endeavour – soccer and snooker included – as I am in meditation and prayer.
